must have clear access and be in good repair and

Lighting and heating/ventilation systems
must meet county building codes.

ventilated and cleaned, and in compliance with
applicable state and local codes.

Lunchroom, classroom, play, and kitchen
areas must be periodically sprayed with pesticides
for control of insects and rodents. |

Sanitary drinking fountains must be provided
at convenient locations and sufficient in number
to meet county building codes.

Classroom furniture must be sufficient in
amount and appropriate for the age and size
of the pupils, and be kept in good repair. |

Laboratories must have suitable furniture
and equipment in adequate supply for use by
all student members of each class. Where chemicals
are present, adequate shower, emergency aid,
and locked storage facilities must be in use.

Dining and kitchen areas must be provided with
adequate waste receptacles. Kitchens must be well
equipped and comply with county health and safety
regulations. |

Bathrooms must be adequately provided with
sufficient sink and toilets, mirrors, towel
dispensers and waste receptacles. Soap and
toilet tissue must be replaced as needed.

Lighting fixtures must be kept in good repair
and bulbs replaced as needed. |

A program for daily housekeeping and maintenance
must be scheduled and practiced, and its quality
adequate or better. |

Outdoor play and recreational areas must
provide ample space and shade for a variety
of activities suited to the needs of the students
and meet state and local codes.

Outdoor play equipment must be safe, in
good repair, adequate in quantity and age-appropriate
for student use.

All athletic facilities, such as playing
fields, gymnasiums, swimming pools, bleachers,
batting cages, etc., must be safe, in good
repair, adequate, age-appropriate, and meet
local codes. |
| 11.1.18 |
The office facility of the administration
must be adequate for private consultation and
all other administrative functions.

A long-range facility plan for renovation
and/or new building construction must be developed
or be in the process of development.
