6000.9: STUDENT RECORDS

An adequate system of records
must be in use and permanent files for each student must
be maintained safely and updated regularly. |

| 9.2 |
The student record file must be housed in
a secure and fire-resistant facility and contain permanent
and current records showing each child’s name, address,
parent or guardian’s name(s), telephone numbers
(home, work and emergency), attendance,
birth certificate or notarized affidavit of birthdate,
physicals and
immunizations, cumulative academic progress, periodic
progress reports to parents, and individual results
on standardized tests. |

Schools that are closing are required by
Florida state law to turn over their permanent student
records to the local school district or another private
school within the county.
