How To Apply

PROCEDURES FOR ACCREDITATION

  1. A school must be an associate member of CSF in good standing for a term of two years before it is eligible to receive accreditation. During this period the school may NOT publicize itself
    as being an accredited member.
  2. During its second year of associate membership the school may apply for candidate status.
  3. Upon initial inquiry the school receives an application to join CSF. The CSF Accreditation Handbook may be purchased at a nominal fee from the CSF office.
  4. If the school believes that it has met CSF Standards and determines to proceed with the accreditation process, a completed CSF Application for Accreditation must be filed with the CSF Vice President of Accreditation.
  5. If the application is acceptable, a CSF chairperson will conduct an on-site visit to further confirm the school readiness to proceed with the entire evaluation process. If the chairperson determines readiness,
the school will be granted the status of candidacy for accreditation.
  6. Upon candidacy the CSF chairperson will guide the school through the accrediting process as the CSF Visiting Team Chairperson.
